3.5 years ago Tracina and Tyree noticed there were only a few soul food and southern food shops around Sydney (that often conflated the two). With African American backgrounds from North Carolina they had the education and more importantly the passion to do better. Tracina and Tyree not only brought the culture and cuisine to Australia, but they added their own niche to soul food and created a vegan version of American soul food named Southern Soul. They chose more plant based elements in soul food to recognise the cuisine's true origins which definitely makes them standout and a story Minority Priority wanted to share. You can find their delicious food at markets, pop ups, catering and home delivery (COVID permitting). Every month they are set up at the Sydney Vegan Market in the Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park if you want to plan a visit. We welcome them to the Minority Priority Community.
